“Then Elihu said: ‘Hear my words, you wise men; listen to me, you men of learning. For the ear tests words as the tongue tastes food. Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good” (Job 34). (NIV)
One of the best ways to accomplish something is to get other interested people to share the work with you. In the last chapter of Who’s Got Dibs on Your Kids? I give suggestions of how to start groups, and how to keep them operating with happy and effective participants.
This is your forum. Share your ideas, your concerns, your successes, and your failures. All can benefit from the thoughts and experiences you have. To get you started, I have links below to some suggestions on getting started in Helpful Hints for Forming a Group, as well as 25 Ways To Be A Better Leader .
Send me your opinions and plans. I’ll post them here, and we’ll all grow in the process. Remember the goal is to make as certain as possible that only God and you are entitled to dibs on your kids.
The work before you is not going to be a walk in the park. You are going to make some people very uncomfortable, and some people very angry. Don’t let it discourage you. Take their rejections as a badge of honor - your efforts are being noticed!
